Police bust three with meth
Franklin Police make three arrests for meth charges in recent days.
Reports filed by officers indicate 31-year-old Mitchell Lamar Gerrells, of Clayton, NC, and 33-year-old Amber Leanne Gerrells, of Cashiers, were arrested February 13 each charged with a felony count of possession of meth with intent to sell and deliver. The pair was also charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana possession.
Officers report 1 gram of meth was discovered during the arrest.
Both Mitchell and Amber Gerrells were booked into the Macon County jail on $4,000 bonds. They are expected in court February 21.
On February 18, Franklin Police arrested a Highlands man on meth charges. Reports indicate 34-year-old Donald Lee Dowdle faces a felony count of possession of meth with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver and a misdemeanor charge of drug violations. The suspect reportedly possessed 1.25 grams of meth, officers say.
Dowdle was booked into the Macon County jail on a $17,000 bond and is due in court March 7.
