Two busted for child sex crimes
Child sex charges stemming from two separate incidents land two local men behind bars over the weekend.
On Friday, Macon County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 86-year-old Donald Muncey, of Franklin for indecent liberties against children.
Muncey, a registered sex offender, was arrested after a local family contacted authorities, says Macon County Sheriff Robbie Holland, “The family of the victim contacted investigators and alleged that indecent liberties were committed against their child. An investigation ensued and they were able to locate Mr. Muncey and file charges against him.”
Muncey was booked into the Macon County Detention Center on a $300,000 bond.
In an unrelated incident on Sunday night, Macon County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were called in to investigate an allegation of crimes against a child.
Sheriff Holland says 22-year-old Cirilo Pasquel, of Franklin was then arrested and charged with first degree rape of a child.
“Officers were conducting interviews and executing search warrants, and were able to get enough evidence to be able to file charges against this individual. Also, during the course of that investigation, interviews were conducted with the victim and the suspect; and the suspect admitted to taking part in sexual acts against this young girl.”
The victim was said to be under the age of 12. Pasquel’s bond has been set at $150,000.
