The Macon County Solid Waste Department will once again be accepting Christmas trees at no charge this year.
The trees will be donated to North Carolina Fish and Wildlife for fish hatchery beds. You may bring yhour Christmas tree to either
the landfill facility in Franklin, or the Highlands Transfer Facility. Please remove all ornaments, lights, tree-stands, etc. from the tree prior to recycling.
