A 30-year old Franklin man has been killed reportedly due to a gunshot wound.

According to Macon County 911, a distressed caller altered dispatchers that Cy Levi Fouts, of Franklin, had been shot in the leg by his father, Ricky Lee Fouts.

Upon arrival at 132 Hazel Fouts Road, Deputies discovered Levi Fouts had been shot in the abdomen.

Additional details from the dispatch office indicate that Fouts was transported to Mission Hospital where he died from the wound.

Fouts’ mother had phoned 911 just a short time before the shooting asking for the Sheriff’s Office to check on her son and his father who were both intoxicated and had been in altercations throughout the day Tuesday.

Officers detained Ricky Fouts. He has been charged with second degree murder. He is being held on a $125,000 bond as the investigation continues.
