‘Famine’ proves a big success

For the 19th year in a row, local residents teamed up to knock out hunger with the 30 Hour Famine Project in Franklin this past weekend. For the second straight year the Franklin High Lady Panthers have captured a sectional championship defeating Lexington 62-47 at the Panther Den Friday Night. Two charged with growing pot

Two Macon County residents were arrested by Sheriff’s Deputies on Monday charged with growing pot. According to arrest reports filed by officers, 36-year-old Travis James Gregg and 25-year-old Casey Morris, both of Tessentee Road, were charged with felony counts of manufacturing marijuana. The suspects were also charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.…
