Young driver hurt, charged

The North Carolina Highway Patrol investigated a single-vehicle accident that left a young Franklin driver injured Friday.

State Troopers indicate the accident occurred around 10:13 p.m. on Union School Road where 17-year old Hagan Henderson wreck

ed his 1986 Ford pick-up. Henderson was traveling west and reportedly veered off the right side of the road and struck a tree. He was wearing his seatbelt but sustained injuries and was transported to Angel Medical Center.

Henderson was charged with exceeding a safe speed and driving without a license.
